Being clothed with Christ, we should lower and humble ourselves all the more. Since we are sinners who committed sins in heaven,we have nothing to boast about ourselves. Since the Apostle Paul realized this,he regarded his learning or lineage as nothing and devoted his life to the gospel according to Christ's example,saying that he had nothing to boast about except Christ who was sacrificed on the cross(Gal 6:14,Php 3:5~9).
(1Pe 2:19~21) For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God.
But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
